How is
Headhunt-me.com different from other recruitment sites?
Most employment sites provide a free database to post your
CV to, but with 1000’s of CVs posted each day it’s
easy to get lost in the ‘haystack’ of CVs. On such
sites your CV is only going to be seen by those
companies who have registered with that site and will only
be relevant to the even smaller proportion who actually
specialize in your area.
Headhunt-me.com is different from the other online
recruitment sites for a number of reasons:
1) Headhunt-me.com is not just another huge database; we
have a large established network of recruitment companies
across the Middle East and Asia. Your online CV is not
only available to be searched by all the employers
registered with the site, but can be searched by all the
recruiters in our network specializing in a wide range of
industries and locations. In
one easy step, you have multiplied the number of people
pro-actively working on your behalf to find you the job
you want.
2) Headhunt-me.com doesn’t rely on registered jobseekers
regularly undertaking searches of the site to find the
right job. Once you have registered , you can opt to
receive a weekly e-mail update detailing all the new jobs
posted on the site in your area of expertise.
3) Because employers can post job vacancies on
Headhunt-me.com for free (other recruitment websites
often charge prohibitively large fees), the site attracts
a larger number and wider spectrum of employers to
advertise their vacancies on the site. This means a
greater choice of potential opportunities for jobseekers.
Additionally, through the network of recruiters,
jobseekers are exposed to potentially hundreds of
companies, who would otherwise never have seen your
CV.
What regions does Headhunt-me.com cover?
Headhunt-me.com currently targets employers in the Middle
East and North Africa, although this may expand in the
future. We encourage candidates from anywhere in the world
to register if they are interested in finding employment
in these regions.
What type of jobs can I find on the site?
Headhunt-me.com covers the whole spectrum of employment
opportunities. Job vacancies may range from administrative
work, to engineering, to IT related positions and many
types of work in between. If you want to see a sample of
the types of job vacancies posted on the site, try
undertaking a search of all the job vacancies available in
one region. For example select all the records (using the
Shift key and clicking on the first and last record) in
the Job Category field. Then select a Career Level (e.g.
Mid Career) and then select a country (i.e. Abu Dhabi). The results will
show you all the jobs available at that career level in Abu Dhabi and will
provide with a sample of the type of job vacancies posted
on the site as a whole.
If
I find a job through one of the recruiters in the
Headhunt-me.com network, do I have to pay a recruiter
fee?
NO. The companies who retain the recruiters to fill their
vacancies pay the recruiter fees.
How long is my CV kept on the Headhunt-me.com system?
Your CV will stay on the Headhunt-me.com system 90
days. 14 days before this period is due to elapse, you
will be sent an e-mail notification inviting you to renew
your registration with the site. If you decline, your
details and CV will be removed from the site.
Will recruiters / potential employers contact me directly
or through you?
Recruiters and employers will contact you directly from
the information you provide in your jobseeker’s profile
when you register on our site.
I
am concerned about the confidentiality. If I register with
Headhunt-me.com, can I be sure that unauthorized persons
cannot access my personal details?
At Headhunt-me.com the security and confidentiality of
your personal information is of paramount importance to
us. We have security measures in place to ensure that no
unauthorized person can gain access to your details and
Headhunt-me.com would never pass any of the personal
information on our systems to any unauthorised third
parties.
Can I keep my identity confidential? I do not want to risk
my current employer seeing my details on the site.
Yes. If you would rather keep your identity unknown in the
early stages of the recruitment process, you indicate this
at the start of the registration process. Your e-mail
address and name are then hidden in your online CV and in
any e-mails that are generated to you by employers. If
however you initiate contact with an employer through the
'Apply' option attached to posted jobs or if you reply to
an e-mail from an employer, your e-mail address WILL be
visible to them (we cannot prevent this). If this is
likely to be a problem, we recommend you create and use an
e-mail address that does not provide any personal
information about yourself (i.e. create a new anonymous
hotmail address and do not use an existing company e-mail
address that may include your name and the company you
work for).
I
have already applied directly to a number of companies and
I do not want my details re-sent to them through
Headhunt-me.com. There are also a number of companies I
know I do not want to work for. Can I stop companies from
receiving my details?
No, you can’t stop companies viewing your details
but you can keep your identity
confidential as discussed in the previous FAQ. In this
way, if you are contacted by the companies you are not
interested in or who you have already applied to, they do
not know your identity and you do not have to respond to
them.
Who are the recruitment companies in the
Headhunt-me.com network? How are they selected? How can
I find out more about the companies represented in each
region?
Headhunt-me.com has undertaken a strict selection process
to ensure that those recruitment companies invited to join
the Headhunt-me.com adhere to the highest professional
standards. If you would like further information on the
recruiters in each region, please click on the
Recruiter Network Members link on the Homepage for a
recruiters listing. We would also like to hear any
feedback jobseekers or employers can provide on their
dealings with the recruiters in our network. Click here to
let us know your thoughts.
Can I keep track of which employers are viewing my
details?
Yes and No. Any registered employer can view your online
CV by undertaking an employer’s search for
jobseekers. However, you have the option of keeping your identity undisclosed. Once
an employer is interested in receiving more information
about you, they have to contact you directly. You can then
keep your own records of those employers that have
contacted you and what extra information you sent them.
Could my details be sent to the same employer by multiple
recruiters? This would be irritating for the employer and
might reflect badly on me.
This is extremely unlikely to happen. Headhunt-me.com has
carefully selected the recruiters in its network to ensure
that only the most professional recruitment company in
each area of specialisation and in each region is
represented. If such an issue did occur however, the
recruiters involved would be obliged to resolve the
situation between them and to ensure it did not reflect
badly on you.
How soon will my online CV be available to
employers / recruiters once I have registered?
Immediately.
Once I have registered my details with Headhunt-me.com,
how often can I update them?
As many times as you like! Once you have registered and
have your Headhunt-me.com password, you can
access and edit your personal details whenever you want.
Can I remove my personal details from the site before my 3
month subscription period expires?
Jobseekers can edit or delete their details from the site
whenever they wish.
Why do I have to create an online CV? Why can’t I
just attach my own CV document?
Creating a CV on Headhunt-me.com is important as it
provides the keyword data used to match your skills with
potential employers and recruiters. It also enables
employers to view a concise snapshot of your key skills
and to contact you directly if they want more information
(you can then send your full CV). This is more
efficient for employers than wading through a mountain of
CVs and also allows the jobseeker to screen which
employers they then send their full CV / detailed
personal information to.
Additionally, many recruiters and employers do not accept
bulk attachments because of their file size and the risk
of viruses.
Does Headhunt-me.com guarantee I find a job?
No, but we will direct your online CV to
considerably more employers and recruiters specializing in
your area than you would otherwise be able to do on your
own.

Is
Headhunt-me.com really free for employers?
Yes, it is completely free. Our revenues are generated
from the small administrative charge to jobseekers using
our service (although for a limited period this is free). Once registered, employers are able to post
jobs, search our jobseeker database for appropriate
candidates and opt to distribute their job vacancies to
the relevant recruitment agencies in the Headhunt-me.com
network. All for free.
Our free service for employers enables companies ranging
from large multinationals to small niche companies to
register their vacancies with the site, without concern
for the size of their recruitment budget. This range of
companies provides Headhunt-me.com with a richer, more
varied database of jobs than other sites who charge large
fees to post each job.
Why should my company use
Headhunt-me.com?
Traditional recruitment can be very expensive and time
consuming for employers. Headhunt-me.com however provides
an incredibly quick, easy to use, flexible recruitment
tool that saves time and money and, better still, it costs
nothing!
Employers have a range of options for using the site:
If an employer requires an inexpensive but effective
recruitment option then they can register for free and opt
only to view the CVs of those jobseekers registering
directly on the site (thereby paying nothing).
2) Alternatively, if the employer’s concern is to find the
right employee quickly or to fill a difficult vacancy,
then they can opt to have their vacancies circulated
amongst the recruiters in the Headhunt-me.com network and
pay a recruitment fee to the successful recruitment agency
when the vacancy is filled.
3) Finally employers may wish to adopt a two stage
approach, initially opting to search the Headhunt-me.com
site and only view jobseeker profiles registered directly
on the site. If, after a week or two, this has not
provided a satisfactory candidate, then the employer can
edit their preferences on Headhunt-me.com and opt to
circulate the vacancy to the recruiters.
Headhunt-me.com has also invested heavily in marketing
and advertising the site in the Middle East and key
expatriate markets including India, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka,
the Philippines and North Africa. Through this investment,
we are able to offer employers an extensive and varied
jobseeker database to utilise as a key recruitment tool.
Why do employers have to register to post a job?
There are two main reasons we require employers to
register:
1) To make future use of the site as efficient as possible
for the employer. At the initial registration process, the
employer is encouraged to input as much relevant
information about the company as desired. This can include
a full profile of the company, company logos, website
links and contact details. Once this is done, the
information is retained and whenever the employer wishes
to add an additional vacancy to the site, they merely have
to complete the short vacancy description field. The full
company information is then available to jobseekers each
time any of the vacancies are viewed.
2) In order to prevent inappropriate or unprofessional
vacancies from being posted, content submitted to
Headhunt-me.com for posting on the site is screened both
using screening technology and manually by a member of our
team. By requiring employers to register, we are able to
confirm that they are a legitimate user and then, through
the provision of a confidential password, authorize them
to post material directly to the site.
I don’t want to post any vacancies to the site; I just
want to undertake a search of the jobseekers? Do I still
have to register?
You can undertake a search of the jobseekers database and
view the results without providing any information at all.
However, if you wish to contact a registered jobseeker,
you need to register as an employer. This involves
providing some basic information about your company to
enable us to confirm you are a legitimate employer.
If I register, how long will my companies details stay on
the Headhunt-me.com database?
If you are regularly using the site, then your
registration details (and your ability to contact relevant
jobseekers) will stay live indefinitely. Only in instances
where there has been 12 months of inactivity (inactivity
defined as no searches undertaken, no jobs posted and no
details updated by the employer) will registration be
expired and details deleted. Employers will receive an
e-mail notification 14 days prior to the scheduled
deletion providing the option to renew their registration
and prevent deletion.
Employers can also remove their details from the site and
end their registration at any time.
Will I have to search through hundreds of jobseeker
profiles each time I undertake a search of the jobseekers
registered on Headhunt-me.com?
No, absolutely not. Headhunt-me.com focuses on saving you
time and effort. The search results will only include
those jobseeker profiles that exactly match the job
catagory / educational / geographical etc filters you
specify in the search criteria.
Additionally, you can further filter the search results to
only show jobseeker profiles that have been posted within
a specific timeframe i.e. in the last week, last two
weeks, or last two months. You thereby also avoid spending
hours sorting through hundreds of CVs you viewed in
your last search. Headhunt-me.com does all the hard work
for you.
If the perfect candidate for my vacancy is presented by
one of the recruiters in the Headhunt-me.com network, how
do I know I am not going be charged an unreasonably large
recruiter’s fee if I decide to employ that person?
Obviously different recruiters in different sectors /
regions will vary slightly in the fees that they charge
employers for the successful placement of one of their
candidates. However, at Headhunt-me.com one of the key
selection criteria for inclusion into the Headhunt-me.com
recruiters’ network, is that recruitment fees charged are
reasonable for a recruiter in that particular sector /
region. Additionally, when forwarding candidates’ CVs
to an employer from Headhunt-me.com, recruiters are
obliged to forward a copy of their fees and terms of
business at the very start of the process and repeat this
each time they provide candidates for a new vacancy.
Who are the recruitment companies in the
Headhunt-me.com
network? How are they selected? How can I find out more
about the companies represented in each region?
Headhunt-me.com has undertaken a strict selection process
to ensure that those companies invited to join the
Headhunt-me.com adhere to the highest professional
standards. If you would like further information on the
recruiters in each region, please click on the Recruiter
Network Members link on the Homepage for a recruiters
listing. We would also like to hear any feedback
jobseekers or employers can provide on their dealings with
the recruiters in our network. Use the feedback option to
let us know your thoughts.
How long will each job vacancy that I post stay on the
Headhunt-me.com site?
Initially, each job vacancy stays on the site for 30 days.
After the job has been on the site for 25 days, the
employer receives an e-mail notification informing them
that expiry is due in less than a week. The employer then
has the option to renew the vacancy for another 30 days or
to have it deleted. If no response is received from the
employer within 7 days of receiving the e-mail
notification, the job is deleted.
I
don’t want to see the same CVs each time
I search for candidates with similar skills. Is this
likely to happen?
No, this will not happen. Firstly, because new jobseekers
are registering with Headhunt-me.com on a daily basis and
others, having successfully found a job, are removing
their CVs. The database is thereby kept ‘fresh’. Secondly,
employers are able to filter the results of their search
to only include those jobseeker CVs posted within a
specific timeframe i.e. in the last two days, last two
weeks, or last two months. Employers thereby also avoid
spending hours sorting through hundreds of CVs they viewed in their last search.
Will recruiters / jobseekers contact me directly or
through Headhunt-me.com?
Yes, both jobseekers and recruiters will contact you
directly from the information you provide in your
‘Employer’s Profile’ when you register on our site. You
are also able to contact them directly.
Jobseekers have to pay a small fee to register with
Headhunt-me.com whereas other recruitment sites are free
for jobseekers but charge employers. Why does
Headhunt-me.com take this alternative approach?
By adopting this approach, Headhunt-me.com achieves two
main objectives:
1) By not charging employers, the site is attractive to a
greater number of companies who are able to advertise a
larger number of job vacancies than might otherwise be
possible if they were paying for the service. This
provides a great service for employers and a large and
varied database of job vacancies for potential jobseekers.
2) By charging a small fee to jobseekers, Headhunt-me.com
ensures that the jobseeker profiles on its database are
only from serious and motivated jobseekers. Our research
has shown that the payment of this fee is in no way
prohibitive to serious jobseekers. In fact, the majority
of individuals approached indicated they were more than
happy to pay for a service they felt realistically
enhanced their chances of getting the job they want. This
was particularly true for jobseekers looking for
employment in another region.
How can I increase my company’s exposure to the best
jobseekers?
Headhunt-me.com also offers employers some additional fee
based services designed to maximise the impact of your
corporate identity and to drive more jobseekers to your
vacancies. Such services include:
1) Maximize the exposure your vacancies receive and
advertise them on our homepage under the ‘Top Jobs’
section or become a This Week's Featured Employer.
2) Take out a Banner Advert with us and ensure you get
maximum response to your vacancies.
3) Become a sponsor of our e-mail alerts. Headhunt-me.com
sends out thousands of e-mail notifications each week to
jobseekers and recruiters and you can get your message
across to each and every one of them.
Go to the Employers section for further information on these and other
value added services we offer.

Is
the Headhunt-me.com service really free for recruiters?
Yes. Our revenues are generated from a small
administration charge to jobseekers using our service.

Headhunt-me.com can save recruiters a considerable amount
of time and money. It provides the recruiters in its network

vacancies across the Middle East and Asia, saving enormous
marketing and advertising costs.
In addition, the site can proactively provides its
recruiter members with weekly updates of newly posted job
vacancies and can filters these vacancies to
ensure recruiters only receive those details relevant to their
area of specialization and geographical remit.
Recruiters are also able to post their own candidates and
job vacancies onto the site, thereby adding value to the
service they provide their own clients by exposing their
vacancies / CV to a far wider audience than they would
otherwise be able to offer.
How will the jobseeker profiles and job vacancies be
delivered to me?

industry specialization specified by you in your recruiter’s
profile will be sent to you via an e-mail.
How does my recruitment company become an approved member
of the Headhunt-me.com recruiter network?
At Headhunt-me.com we are committed to providing our
employers and jobseekers with an efficient and professional

to adhere to the guidelines laid out in our Recruiters’ Code
of Practice (click here to view). To apply to become a
member, click here go to the main Recruiters' page for further information.
Can recruiters contact jobseekers and employers directly?
Yes. Both jobseekers and employers will provide their
contact information on their personal profile which is sent to
you with their CV / vacancy details.
If
one of my candidates is placed successfully in a job
advertised through Headhunt-me.com, how do I get paid my
recruiters fee?
Recruiters are responsible for forwarding a copy of their
fees and terms of business at the first contact with an
employer on Headhunt-me.com and should repeat this each time
they provide candidates for a new vacancy. The arrangements
for payment should therefore have been made directly between
recruiter and employer before any job offer has been made and
are no responsibility of Headhunt-me.com.
How is your site different to other recruitment sites?
It’s free for recruiters and it is not just another
enormous database you can spend hours on searching for
relevant candidates. Headhunt-me.com does the work for you.
Our system proactively identifies and forwards you job
vacancies that are relevant to your industry specialization on
a weekly basis.
Can I advertise my job vacancies and candidates on
Headhunt-me.com?
Yes. Headhunt-me.com encourage recruiters to put as many
candidates and vacancies on the site as they want. This will
significantly increase the exposure your vacancies and CVs
receive and rest assured, any job or CV posted by you will not
be viewable by other recruiters.
Your CVs and jobs will however be flagged up as coming from a
recruitment company and this ensures all responses will come
to you. It is also to highlight to other Recruiters using the
site that certain jobs and CVs have been posted by a fellow
Recruiters (and there is therefore no point in using the
'Contact' option). It also enables those employers who do
not want to pay a recruitment fee to disregard them.
